{the kesten family}

This session took place on an absolutely b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l summer morning. The light was unbelievable! It was my last full day in Iowa and it was the last of my family shoots. My cousin Nicole, her husband Jason and their four children were so much fun to photograph! There was A LOT of laughing, which is always a good thing. I loved it!

I seriously can’t help but smile when I look at these photos!  — Enjoy!

Nicole’s mom also joined us and we got some photos with her as well!

July 3rd was such a great summer day! The sun was shining, it was warm, and I had back-to-back sessions with two families! (If you missed the first session, you can find it here.) It was so good to see my cousin Tanya, her husband Ted, and their four children. They are such an adorable family! I used to babysit for them when the boys were little and I still can’t believe how fast they are all growing up! It was fun to spend the afternoon with them!

Here are some of the shots from this session. . .

The first thing I have to say is that this afternoon session was great. We were at the campground with family,  the forth of July was a day away, it was warm, and the sun was shining — it was the epitome of summertime. We really couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon. — And, BONUS – I got to catch up with some more of my family! I was very busy the week I was back in Iowa visiting, but it was such an awesome time, I’m so grateful to my family for inviting me to capture their families during the beautiful summer days. I hope that these moments will be cherished forever!

My cousin Amanda and her family are so adorable and it was so fun photographing boys! Boys are so fun, they are silly, carefree, and enjoy climbing trees on a whim! I loved capturing them and it was great to include the family dogs Eva and Nora, too!

Here are some of my favorites from this session . . . Enjoy! xo

This session took place during my favorite time of day for shooting. It was late afternoon and the light was just beautiful — it was perfect — and we were able to take advantage of some really beautiful places in Northern Iowa!

The first time I met Kendra was at this session. Her dad drove her a few hours to meet up with me for her senior session, and I am so glad they did, it was really a great afternoon and I was able to capture so many beautiful images of Kendra! I’m so excited to share these!

Kendra – thank you for allowing me to capture these special moments for you, I wish you the best of luck in all you do! Enjoy your last year in high school!

What can I say, I seriously cannot believe that my cousin’s little girl is going to be a senior this year! I still remember her as a little baby! Needless to say, I was honored when my cousin asked me to take Jayden’s senior pictures. I looked forward to it for months and had so much fun taking them! She is a sweet, beautiful, charismatic eighteen-year-old and has the most beautiful smile!! I know that she will go on to do great things!!

Jayden – I wish you nothing but the best! May all your dreams come true! xo
